Municipal Intervention 2002-2009
Municipalities have adopted the model and are implementing it independently
This intervention was active on a municipal level in two planes, namely (1) promoting managerial capabilities by bringing in measurement & evaluation, incorporating an integrator to assist in carrying out professional work and advanced management practices and by introducing a methodology that uses project cards to track the progress of projects and (2) by operating projects to advance student achievements and well-being.
| |
| While providing academic and emotional support for the students and their families through a variety of frameworks, the EI also focuses on improved coordination between local and national education authorities to create a systemic change in the education system. Since IVN's intervention, several of the municipalities have adopted the model and are implementing it independently. |
| |
| From 2002-09, IVN operated in various municipalities, namely Tiberius, the Galilee Panhandle, Sderot, and Ofakim . All activities were carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and local municipalities. Over the years, IVN worked in partnership with a variety of private foundations, NGO's and businesses, i.e. the Rashi Foundation, the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Jewish Agency for Israel, UIA Canada Coast to Coast Communities and partners from the business sector such as Amdocs, etc. |
