IVN's Economic Reconstruction Initiative

IVN Economic Reconstruction Initiative (IERI) North (2006-2009)
Due to its success, the IERI model has been adopted and is being scaled by both private and governmental agencies.

In March 2009, we successfully completed IVN's Economic Reconstruction Initiative  (IERI) pilot in the North. The program was established to stimulate business growth in Israel's periphery, through a scalable model of coaching/mentoring and lending for small and medium businesses, combined with strengthening and empowering regional business consultants and MATIs (Small Business Development Centers).
Real progress was measured throughout the 140 IERI businesses (total of 1,500 employees) in the North.
25 regional business consultants and 6 regional MATI were trained (management and staff) in the program, ensuring that the model remain in the field, catering to hundreds (if not thousands) of local businesses in the future.
~The model is now being used by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor (MOITL) in the North. It is currently implemented in over 50 businesses under the auspices of MOITL, with IVN mentors and business consultants who took part in the program still participating.
~ The initial $700,000 loan fund of IERI has been scaled up to 500,000,000 NIS by Tzafona* and Daroma*. The new loan fund is operated under the guidelines of the IERI model.
~ 20 businesses from IERI are now continuing the process with Tzafona.
~ A "business school" for business owners in the periphery who are participating in the program was established as a joint venture of IVN and Tzafona.
