Management Courses

IVN is currently running three different management courses as part of our entrepreneurship programs:

Social Entrepreneur Management Course
Management Course for IVN's social entrepreneur fellows
The management course provides our social entrepreneurs with the tools to establish, stabilize and expand their initiatives. The social entrepreneurs that IVN selects are all in similar early stages of developing their initiatives. This course allows them to prepare for the next stage of expansion. By providing them with a stable infrastructure from which to grow, the social initiatives have a much stronger chance of not only sustaining themselves, but also scaling, thereby maximizing their impact. The course begins with the development and definition of a mission statement and formulation of a work plan. It then goes on to cover areas such as finance, marketing, fundraising, income generation, measurement & evaluation and human resource/volunteer management

Tzafona Academy
Management Course for business entrepreneurs participating in the joint economic reconstruction program in the north of Israel.
IVN, Tzafona Academy, SIT Company and IDC are providing business entrepreneurs in the periphery with knowledge and essential management tools and skills. The subjects covered include finance, marketing, human resources, and operations -- all suited for small-medium sized businesses. The eight-session course also emphasizes practical implementation, peer-grouping and analyzing business problems relevant to the group.SIT Company and IDC are providing peripheral business managers with knowledge and essential management tools and skills. South Management Course

Course for Regional Business Consultants and Economic Development Leaders in the South
As part of IVN's Business Entrepreneur Management Program in the south, in partnership with the Ness Fund, we have identified the need to train regional business consultants and other economic development leaders, who are the primary change agents for the economiy of this peripheral region. The course places great emphasis on all aspects of finance for small-medium sized businesses; how to transition from strategic planning to implementation; and, in addition, the role of the consultant as a capacity-building coach.

A special part of this Management Course is tailored for Bedouin participants.
Historically, the Bedouin have been an agricultural/pastoral society. Over the past decades, however, they have lost a majority of their land holdings. This dramatic change has had a tremendous impact on the Bedouin population and economy.  In order to stimulate the business and employment capacity within the Bedouin communities in the Negev, a training course for Bedouin business consultants was established in parallel to the Management Course which covered many of the above-mentioned topics. Upon completing the course, the Bedouin consultants then joined IVN's Management Course. In addition, they are interning with the more experienced regional consultants in the program. This special course was conducted in collaboration with the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the Ajeec Center (Arab-Jewish Center for Equality, Empowerment and Cooperation), and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor.
